I’m a huge fan of anything Beboe! The brand’s aesthetic and overall vibe are unmatched, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Anytime Gummies. They’re perfect for social hangs or just a chill night at home. They're super versatile and always a good time.

One brand I really admire is Edie Parker. They’ve done an incredible job blending fashion and cannabis, creating some of the most unique and stylish cannabis-inspired products for women. I have one of their Burn Bags, and I get compliments on it all the time! Plus, they’ve pulled off some of the coolest collaborations I’ve seen in this space.

How have you seen an impact with Women in the cannabis industry?
Over the years, I’ve seen more women step into leadership roles, launch their own brands, and advocate for real change in the cannabis industry. While challenges still exist, like gender disparities in funding and leadership, women continue to drive innovation and inclusivity. Women make up around 25-30% of executive roles in cannabis, which is higher than many traditional industries but still has room for growth. I’ve seen firsthand how women are shaping policy, leading social equity initiatives, and redefining what leadership looks like in this space. In dispensaries, cultivation, and corporate roles, women are breaking stigmas and proving that cannabis isn’t just a male-dominated industry. It’s inspiring to see more women stepping up, supporting each other, and making lasting impacts. I’m proud to be part of an industry where women are driving real progress.
What sparked your interest in the cannabis industry?
My interest in cannabis has always been rooted in advocacy and a deep belief in its healing potential. I’ve seen firsthand how impactful it can be, especially through my sister, who has Tuberous Sclerosis. Cannabis has played a crucial role in helping her manage her day-to-day life, providing relief in ways that traditional treatments couldn’t always offer. Seeing how it improved her quality of life sparked my passion for the plant and the industry as a whole. I’ve become an advocate not just for cannabis use, but for education, accessibility, and breaking the stigma surrounding it. On top of that, cannabis is a rapidly growing industry with endless opportunities. It’s exciting to be part of a space that’s evolving, creating new careers, and shaping the future of wellness and business. Being in this industry allows me to contribute to something bigger, helping others discover the benefits I’ve personally witnessed while growing within an industry full of potential.

One of my favorite women-owned cannabis brands is Tonic. I love that they focus on CBD wellness and holistic healing, creating products that help with both mind and body balance. Their tinctures, topicals, and skincare are made with organic, sustainably sourced hemp, which I really appreciate. What makes Tonic stand out is their commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, while still making high-quality products that actually work. Brittany Carbone started the brand to help with her own wellness, and now she’s helping others do the same. It’s awesome to see women making big moves in cannabis and pushing the industry forward!
What empowers you on a day-to-day basis? (This can be anything!)
What empowers me on a day-to-day basis is my health, my wellness, and the incredible support I have from my family. Taking care of myself - physically, mentally, and emotionally. It keeps me grounded and motivated. Whether it’s through movement, mindful cannabis use, or simply prioritizing balance, I know that when I feel my best, I can show up fully in everything I do. Knowing that my family supports me and believes in what I do is a huge driving force. Their encouragement reminds me that I’m on the right path, and it pushes me to keep growing, learning, and making an impact. Having that foundation gives me the confidence to take on challenges and stay true to my passions.

Women are a powerful force, especially when they work together. In 2023, I helped petition the Illinois Department of Public Health to expand the list of qualifying conditions that can be treated with cannabis to include 4 women's health conditions. As of January, this year, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, and female orgasmic disorder have been approved. This is a huge milestone for women's health in Illinois, and I'm excited to see other states follow suit! The collective efforts of women in the cannabis industry are driving significant changes and improving access to essential healthcare treatments.

When I received the recommendation from my physician, that was it. There was no discussion of strains, methods, or dosing that would best suit my condition, I had to do a lot of my own research and experimenting with products that didn't agree with me. Western Medicine is lacking cannabis education and research, and that's by design. It became my mission to join a team that values education and consumer-centered care, ensuring that others don't have to navigate this new frontier alone.

I really admire Thinx for offering alternatives to traditional menstrual products that don't rely on disposable items. It's fantastic to see how their inclusive marketing is helping to destigmatize menstruation and challenge societal taboos. We've made significant progress, but there's still a long way to go!
